So, if you buy your ticket early enough, you can get a good seat. The reason why I like it is because all seating is on a balcony, which means the worst you can get stuck with is being on the far left or far right, but it has assigned seating. What makes it cringe-worthy is that it costs $12 for matinee. They have these nice, leather, electric-reclining seats, and what really sealed the deal is that I paid $6 (+ an online Fandango fee) for a 4PM showtime! My local theater stops matinee pricing at around 1 PM, and their leather seats feel and look more like normal theater seating that has just been reupholstered with cheap leather.
In regard to movie tickets, ever since I went home for Christmas 2012 and saw what the local theater did during their renovation (after a huge flood), I feel ripped off whenever I buy tickets here. However, I did hear that Part II is a lot better than Part I, but it's also a very different feel with Elizabeth as the playable character. Although, I think I've pretty much had the game spoiled for me over the years anyway.
